Developed and Manufactured in NZ
Murray Dwyer is the brains behind this new concept, he is one of the original mountain bikers with just a few NZ trials championship titles under his belt. Like a duck to water he has grasped unicycling with both thighs appreciating the simplicity and challenge of this new discipline, but something was missing.
An engineering background coupled to an inquisitive and inventive mind had sent him down the tubeless path only to find the current crop of tubeless systems lacking.
A long process of experimentation and feed back ensued with the challenge to develop a more user friendly, reliable and more compatible system being the aim. A large group of fellow bikers became enthusiastic guinea pigs instantly recognising the advantages of such a system. Many miles of testing through gorse and matogouri infested back country ensued, snake biting pressures were hammered downhill and tyres from cyclocross, road and mountain were tested to bursting point.
The result, rimskinz.
During development it was soon discovered that a re-useable sealing strip would not be able to provide the quality of seal and reliablity that we have acheived with this product. It's priced so that the rimskinz underware (replaceable sealing strips) works out to be comparrable with an inner tube.
